Lovely Weekend

Love the autumn wind that is in the air. This picture reminds me of that certain wind. I can't wait until the leaves start changing color. Did you know that I haven't seen autumn for three years?! Nope. It's just been summer summer summer. So I am a little excited. And here are some other things I was a little excited about.

I always lose my sunglasses... wouldn't mind these to replace them.

A lovely cuddle mattress.

I am such a fan of freckles. Love these ones.

Trying to find the perfect sweater... is it found?

Looking forward to this show.

I love this print and the back of this dress.

Need

I'm pretty sure I need this shoe. It's not a want. It's a need.  I always love Seychelles style. They make some really darling shoes.

Head Scarf

Love this tutorial. It makes me want to go buy more scarfs and wear them all the time.
{Especially because I hate washing my hair.}

After many requests, I finally made a tutorial on how to tie a simple head scarf. It's really, really easy. I did this without looking in the mirror, so that should tell you how easy it is. Let's get started!

Start with a large, square scarf. I like my vintage silk scarves because they're soft and not bulky.

Fold one corner to the other to form a triangle.

Fold the corner down to about the middle, and then fold over again (but not all the way to the edge, because you want it to be a little thicker).

Put the scarf around your head with the ends in the front, making sure the wrong side of the scarf (the part where you can see the folds) is against your head.

Tie it in a loose knot at the front. I like to keep the whole scarf a little on the loose side (it will stay in place).

Tuck the ends behind/underneath the scarf.

Done!

Lovely Weekend

This weekend is going to be super busy for us! We have so many plans- the school is putting on a concert, our state is having a fair and my grandparents invited us to see Mary Poppins on Broadway. I am really excited about all of them. Plus I start another job on Monday! Yay!!

These are just a few things I have enjoyed this weekend.

I am absolutely in love with Cary Grant and North by Northwest is my favorite movie- so of course I loved this "living-in" North by Northwest.  I might make a few purchases this weekend.

Love this little hut. Especially because it played a part in Roald Dahl's inspiration. I am pretty sure I would want to preserve it. Did you know that I actually met someone who doesn't like his work? Imagine!

I need a new camera bag. My backpack is starting to really cramp my style. I would love one of these.  Early Christmas present?

I would love to turn my books into art! The only problem is that I am always in the middle of 3 books at a time. I don't think 3 of these would fit on my dresser.

This polka-dot skirt is gorgeous. Too bad the price isn't so pretty. Oh Kate Spade! Why must you be so gorgeous and expensive?!

And this blog. It's my new favorite. Maybe because we have the same glasses?

Polish

I have a thing for nail polish. Like a huge tub thing. The boy thinks that it's just a tub of 500 of the same color. But I know that each shade really is different. And I wouldn't mind adding these colors to that tub. Love them.

Have you heard how crazy Target has been with the new Missoni collection? Even the website was on hold!! Trust me- I know.
