Little Lessons

Love this little prints. {Except when life gives me lemons I think I would rather make brownies instead of bacon}

There are so many times I wish cords were longer {or that my house had more electrical sockets}. Maybe this would solve my problems? It seems like a grand idea.

It's nice because its only an extension cord when you need it- and just a regular socket when you don't. {so there isn't a huge long cord hanging out all the time}
I like this little demonstration.

House Plants

Moving from Hawaii, I have been dying to increase the green around my life {and to prepare for the snowy winter where green vanishes}. The sad part is I know absolutely nothing about plants {and I am not a huge fan of fake greens}. Luckily someone out there does know about house plants and they have made it easy for me to understand... now I have to decide which ones...

No soil required! They thrive in direct sunlight with a once a week misting.

A rabbit's foot fern is one of the easiest ferns to keep inside. They need indirect light and twice weekly waterings.

Pretty plant -- it also sends out the most darling little baby plants! Likes medium to bright light and the top of the soil should dry out slightly between waterings, so keep an eye on it.

This tried-and-true houseplant sometimes gets maligned as boring. I love the huge ones, though; if you cut off an extra leaf, it'll keep in a vase for a month! They like indirect light and once a week waterings.

With really pretty patterned foliage, a prayer plant does well with indirect sunlight and twice a week watering.

They take a little more care and dedication, but they're so gorgeous you have to try. They thrive in indirect light and the top of the soil should dry out slightly between waterings. (Repeated overwaterings is just as bad as underwaterings with these guys.)

The Dr. Seuss of houseplants, Ponytail Palms are virtually indestructible. Happiest in a sunny spot with once a week watering.

Low maintenance, if you have a very sunny spot inside. Water once a week and ignore.

Lovely Weekend

Now that Harry Potter is over... do you think the love will go away? I remember waiting for the books to come out one by one and then waiting again for the movies. It was such fun to be apart of that generation. I think that this print is gorgeous too. I wouldn't mind it hanging in a library or my future kids room.

I wouldn't of minded this roommate... well before I got married.

Dying to do this to my hair... but do you think it would be harder to find a job?

Wanting to buy one of these... wish list updated.

Love this cape... fall wishlist?

Her glasses and her wedding. Lovely.

Thinking of...

 Fall is almost here {I really don't feel it but the calendar says it's close}. I love fall colors- well what I think are Fall colors which are rich and vibrant. Here are just a few {very few} of the things that are on my Fall wish list. Sadly none of them are in my budget. But a girl can dream!!

Happy Weekend

I hope everyone has a good weekend. I will be spending it cleaning my house and doing other things I have been neglecting since I had my wisdom teeth out {I have had no energy before!}.
I wish I could be swimming in the ocean instead.

Here are some things I love or recent finds... enjoy!!

These look like the perfect cookies to break in my new Kitchen Aid!!

Food + Fashion? Sounds interesting.

Some great photoshop actions: think INSTAGRAM .

I love this make-up site. Now if only I could afford half the things they mention on it.

What I should be doing this weekend... Making my bookshelf look more presentable.

Ok. So I wouldn't mind this pretty bow blouse under the previous yellow sweater. Love the cream color and 3/4 sleeves. Another addition to my perfect fall collection.
